A year-long jubilee commemorating Newark's 350th anniversary
This digital archive represents the culmination of unique events and festivities which commemorated the 350th anniversary of the city of Newark's founding. These projects and events highlight Newark Celebration 350 (NC350) and the year-long jubilee which took place over the course of 2016. This archive provides a glimpse into Newark's 350th Commemorative year, which included activities hosted by the NC350 committee and most importantly activities that were presented by Newarkers from all wards, ethnicities, ages, and socioeconomic backgrounds. A portion of the digital archive is available at the Newark Public Library. The celebration was an opportunity for all Newarkers to tell each other, surrounding communities, the nation, and the world that Newark is a great and wonderful city.
